EJM Investigations, which has its headquarters in Preston, North West, is able to provide a wide range of investigative and legal assistance services in Leeds and the larger West Yorkshire region. We assist solicitors by providing services including statement taking, process serving, investigation work, and tracing enquiries. In the North West, we have local government clients that we frequently help with process serving and surveillance. We also provide the general public with our entire suite of private investigation services.
EJM Investigations operates out of Preston but collaborates with local freelance detectives to conduct inquiries, integrating valuable local insights from the Leeds area into our investigations. Our private agents are well-respected professionals, giving you confidence that your case will be handled with the utmost diligence. We pride ourselves on offering a competitive and adaptable fee structure designed to accommodate a wide range of budgets. While we deliver a top-tier service, we are not merely a low-cost private detective agency.
We understand that clients may have concerns about confidentiality, fearing that we might know the subject of an investigation and inadvertently alert them. You can rest assured that all our detectives at EJM Investigations adhere to the highest professional standards and would never jeopardise the integrity of a case. If you prefer, we can also assign agents from outside the immediate area.
In addition to Leeds city centre, our skilled private detectives are available in other West Yorkshire locations, including but not limited to Wakefield, Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax. Below are some examples of the services we provide. However, we encourage you to reach out to us with any inquiry, and we’ll do our best to support you.
EJM Investigations received instructions from a law firm to serve legal papers relating to a debt matter. Our Process servers attended the given address on the edge of Leeds. It was established that the Debtor had moved and our process servers were unable to serve him at that address. Working alongside EJM Investigations tracing agents, our Leeds based process servers were able to identify a new address for the debtor, which was still in the Leeds area. Two attendances were made but our process servers were unable to meet with the debtor.
Discreet enquiries suggested he was at home but did not answer the door to people he did not know. Our process servers were given a potential work address for the debtor, which was again, in the Leeds area. Attending at the address shortly after, our process servers were successful and served a very disgruntled debtor. We had to serve him on further occasions and he was happy to answer his door! EJM Investigations works with process servers from Leeds who are determined to get the best result for our clients!
EJM Investigations has gained a strong reputation for effectively serving process on individuals who are particularly difficult to locate. Our network of process servers conducts thorough background research to determine the optimal time and place for service. Using a process server is crucial when proof of service is required. Their testimonies in court are typically deemed more credible than self-served processes, indeed courts often include in the order that the person making the application must not serve the papers. An independent Process Server has no motive to deceive but has much to lose should they do so. Our Leeds-based process servers are ready to assist with the service of the following documents:
- Non-molestation orders
- Divorce petitions
- Statutory demands
- Bankruptcy petitions
- County Court Orders
- High Court Orders
- International Legal Documents
And many other essential documents.
EJM Investigations’ process servers are well-equipped to handle urgent requests and are experienced in dealing with aggressive respondents. We proudly serve the public, law firms, and Local Government Authorities.
We were approached by a Leeds based business that had issues with missing stock. Suspicions were raised following a manager pointing out on a number of occasions that items left in various places vanished.
No record of them being sold was recorded and eventually the business realised that they had a thief! The parts that were missing were relatively small and expensive engineering components. Investigators from EJM spoke with the directors of the business and identified a member of staff whose behaviour gave cause for suspicion.
Using both covert cameras and surveillance it was noted that this particular person made a lot of visits to parcel drop off points and businesses in the Leeds area who would use the parts in question, but did not purchase from the client. Eventually we had evidence that the staff member in question was smuggling parts out in his rucksack, and selling to a few friends who had businesses in Leeds, and also online.
Who was the staff member? The same manager who initially pointed out that the items were missing. Being the person who flagged up the issue made him the last person the directors suspected!
Our private detectives in Leeds saved this business much more than our services cost them.
While often thought of as the centerpiece of private investigations, it’s just one aspect of what we do at EJM Investigations. We deploy surveillance agents when circumstances call for it, adhering to RIPA guidelines if relevant to ensure that our methods are both necessary and proportionate.
All footage and photographs we collect are date and time stamped, making sure the evidence is admissible in court if needed.
Our surveillance services cater to a range of needs, including employers who suspect staff of moonlighting, individuals potentially faking injuries for time off work or compensation claims, as well as matrimonial investigations.
We welcome inquiries from any Merseyside-based companies, solicitors, or members of the public, and we strive to alleviate your concerns from the very first contact.
At EJM Investigations, we handle a wide range of requests to track down individuals for various reasons. Whether it's locating evasive debtors, reconnecting with lost contacts, or aiding in missing persons cases, we're equipped to assist. Our first step is to verify that the reasons behind the trace are legitimate. From there, we offer a variety of solutions, including no trace, no fee searches of our extensive databases, as well as local doorstep inquiries when necessary.
Given the unpredictable nature of missing persons, our inquiries could take us beyond Leeds, or in some cases, even outside the UK. If the trace involves debt, we ensure that investigation costs remain manageable and do not exceed the debt in question. Our detectives maintain close communication throughout the process, allowing us to halt the investigation at any point should costs become excessive.
De-bugging is a highly specialized task that requires technical expertise rather than a traditional private detective. Fortunately, EJM Investigations works with an expert in countermeasures located near Leeds. If you suspect your privacy may be compromised, remember to reach out to us from a secure location. We will work diligently to formulate a solution that restores your privacy.
EJM Investigations is pleased to offer our Leeds Private Detectives for support in criminal defense investigations. We frequently collaborate with solicitors to aid in gathering evidence and locating witnesses. Our team can visit crime scenes to capture photographs and create sketches. Additionally, we are equipped to take witness statements and, if necessary, serve summons to ensure witnesses appear in court.
